Titans Rally Falls Just Short

Titans Rally Falls Just Short

Trailing 6-3 going into the bottom of the ninth the Titans put together a rally that fell just short of victory.  With bases loaded and 1 out the boys were unable to push across the go ahead run forcing extra innings.

A walk and some untimely defensive miscues lead to a Santa Fe Saints go ahead run to gather the lead in the top of the 10th.  Unfortunately, that turned out to be the game winner.  Coach Beckman said this about the game, "The team played hard today.  Can not say enough good things about Clayton Moran coming in and shutting down that offense for 6 innings.  This was a very good junior college baseball game.  Unfortunately we were on the short end of the stick."

The team will be on the road the remainder of the weekend with stops in Orlando, Gainesville, and New Port Richey.  Next home game is Friday March 4th, at Jack Russell Stadium, a 6pm start.
