Baseball drops Conference Opener

The Titans baseball team dropped its conference opener against Polk State 10-2.  After a quick first inning the Polk Eagles scored 6 in the top of the second off of starter Kevin King.  That was all they needed as Joe Strzelecki allowed just 2 runs in 6 innings of work.

"Conference games are a war of attrition. We have 30 straight games against five of the better programs in the state.  The Suncoast conference is as tough of a junior college conference as you will find anywhere in the country.  We can not allow one game to get the better of us."  Said coach Beckman following the game.

The next home game will be Monday March 14th against South Florida State College at the Joe DiMaggio complex in Clearwater, FL.  For up to date information on the team follow them on twitter @SPCBaseball.
