Six Titans Receive All-Conference Honors

Six players on the Titans Baseball team received All-Conference honors this past week.  Being lead by sophomore centerfielder Alex Hanson who not only received a First Team All-Conference selection but he was voted the Conference Player of the Year.  This is the second year in a row a Titan has received this honor following Duke Stunkel who won the award in 2015.  Following Hanson is sophomore Catcher Scott Manea who was the defensive player of the year for the conference and a unanimous first team selection.  Scott is the first Titan to receive this honor under the leadership of Coach Ryan Beckman.

Other First team selections were sophomore infielder Bubba Hollins, freshman outfielder Chris Busch, and freshman Pitcher Dominic Stefanacci.  Receiving a second team selection was freshman infielder Trevor Jensen.

"Very happy for the boys in receiving these individual accomplishments.  Baseball is a funny game where if you work hard all year for the team you are rewarded with individual awards."  said Coach Beckman.

The Titans will begin their postseason on Sunday in the first round of the region 8 state tournament against the College of Central Florida in a 4p at historic Henley field in Lakeland, FL.  You can follow all the post season action online at www.thefcsaasports.com.
