Title: Assistant Basketball Coach

Keith Windom is entering his fourth season as one of the men’s basketball assistant coaches at St. Petersburg College and 7th season overall. He saw success in his first three seasons. He also helped the Titans to a Suncoast Conference title, a Region 8 State title, and a Sweet 16th birth in the Junior College National Tournament in 2016-2017 season.

While at St. Petersburg College, he has coached ten first team All-Conference players, seven second team All-Conference players, one FCSAA player of the year, one Hal Chasey Academic player of the year and a first team Junior College All-American.

Coach Windom comes to us after serving two seasons at a Preparatory School in Oklahoma. One season as the head high school coach and two season as the assistant coach of the postgraduate team. He helped place 15 high school and postgraduate athletes into universities and junior colleges in his two season there. He started his coaching career at his high school Alma Mater as the JV coach.

Coach Windom was a prep standout and a four-year letterman at Wichita South High School, where he was a McDonalds All-American nominee, Wichita Eagle two time All-City player and a 6A All-State player his senior year. He averaged 21.0 points his junior and senior year. 

He is no stranger to junior college basketball as he started his collegiate career attending Hutchinson Community College. His freshman season the team ranked as high as 10th in the nation. His sophomore season he started in every game and went on to be an All-Conference player in the Jayhawk West. He transferred to Pittsburg State University where he started as a junior and helped the Gorillas to a NCAA Division II national birth. His senior year campaign his team ranked as high as number 9th in the nation. He was an All-Conference player in The MIAA and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in General Studies. Coach Windom is now working on his Master degree. 

Coach Windom is a native of Wichita, KS. He is a full time employee as a Student Support Advisor at St. Petersburg College. He resides in Tampa, FL with his fiancée Torrey and dog Ralph.
