Coach White is in his 14th season as the Head Volleyball Coach at St. Petersburg College and has coached nearly 75 All-Conference players, thirteen All-State athletes, two conference players of the year, an NJCAA All-American, multiple Academic All-Conference players and six National Academic All-Americans. These players propelled White to more than 100 wins in five seasons compiling a 182-162 career record for a 0.529 winning percentage. Under Coach White, St. Petersburg College made nine straight appearances at the state championships. He has recruited a diverse team from over 13 different countries and four different continents. These players have excelled at SPC and moved on to over 23 different Division 1, 2, and NAIA universities on both indoor and beach volleyball scholarships.
White was a four-year starter at the University of Michigan, earning three all conference. After college, Scott competed in USA Volleyball, where he made the USAV All-Rookie Team and earned the regional MVP award, 11 regional championships and four top five finishes at the USAV National Championships.
Coach White holds bachelor's and master’s degrees in Engineering from the University of Michigan. He worked in the offshore oil-field for eight years and then worked as a Business and Technology consultant for 12 years. Mr. White founded one of the first 1000 Web sites in the early days of the Internet and consulted for several Fortune 500 companies in the areas of process engineering and digital strategy. Coach White also teaches calculus, algebra and liberal arts mathematics online.
