SPC Baseball Releases 2026 Schedule, Prepares for Competitive Season Ahead
Clearwater, Fla. -St. Petersburg College Baseball has officially announced its schedule for the upcoming season, and the Titans are ready to open the year with purpose, focus, and respect for the competition ahead.
SPC enters the season prepared to test itself early, taking on a demanding non-conference slate designed to prepare the team for Citrus Conference play—widely regarded as one of the most competitive conferences in JUCO baseball. The Titans’ early schedule reflects a clear commitment to growth, discipline, and long-term success.
Non-conference play opens on January 23rd with a three-game series against Lake-Sumter State College. The series begins with Game 1 on the road, followed by Games 2 and 3 played as a doubleheader at Jack Russell Stadium.
Another standout feature of the non-conference slate is a scheduled doubleheader against Monroe College on February 3rd. Hosting the Mustangs provides the Titans with a unique opportunity to compete against top-tier talent from the Northeast, adding another high-level test that will help sharpen their skills.
SPC will then face another major challenge with a three-game matchup against Pasco-Hernando State College, the defending NJCAA Division II National Champions. That series will also follow the same format: Game 1 on the road, with Games 2 and 3 played as a doubleheader at Jack Russell Stadium.
Head Coach Oscar Espada emphasized the importance of challenging competition early in the season.
“We intentionally put together a tough non-conference schedule because it forces us to grow,” Espada said. “Lake-Sumter and Pasco-Hernando are well-coached programs with strong traditions. These games will demand that we play with focus, discipline, and respect every time we take the field.”
Espada credited the foundation laid during the offseason as a key reason the Titans are ready for the challenge.
“Our players and coaching staff have put in a tremendous amount of work,” Espada added. “The commitment, the focus, and the dedication they’ve shown day in and day out have been outstanding. This group understands that preparation is earned, not given.”
While the schedule presents early tests, the tone inside the program remains optimistic and grounded.
“We’re not looking past anyone,” Espada said. “Every opponent on our schedule deserves respect. Our goal is simply to compete the right way, learn from each experience, and continue to improve as we move closer to conference play.”
With a balanced blend of road tests and home opportunities at Jack Russell Stadium, SPC Baseball looks forward to the support of Titan fans as the season gets underway. The early non-conference battles will serve as a proving ground as the Titans prepare for the grind of Citrus Conference competition.
The countdown to first pitch has begun, and SPC Baseball is ready to embrace the challenge.
