Gabriel Rincones named First Team All American

For the fourth time in program history, a St Petersburg College Titan has been named a NJCAA First Team All American. Titan Right-fielder Gabriel Rincones, a product of Plant High School in Tampa, was named to the award earlier this week Head Baseball Coach Ryan Beckman announced.

Rincones joins Tim Teufel, Bobby Wilson and Dustin Harris as Titans named to the national award, in addition to Corey Baptist who was an Honorable Mention. In fact, Rincones makes the second First Team All American in as many complete seasons for SPC's program ( Harris, 2019). "This is a huge feat for the program as a whole, and truly speaks towards what our players can accomplish with hard work and the facilities we have here" says Mitchell Wydetic, who serves as Recruiting Coordinator and Outfield Coach for SPC.

Head Coach Ryan Beckman compliments the vision and work ethic of Rincones, stating "Beyond excited for Gabe. He set goals prior to coming into our family and he worked diligently to achieve those goals. At the time those goals seemed farfetched but were not so far off in his eyes. In my career, I have not seen many people do what he did". Beckman's high praises are no exaggeration, as Rincones has been included on every major award and list to date; winning Suncoast Conference POY, State POY and now First Team All American.

Rincones now eyes the MLB draft in early July and will have to choose between attending FAU and signing to play professional baseball- two great choices for a student athlete that has certainly earned it.
