Titans Return The Favor Over Seminole State

There's an old saying that when you get knocked down, you dust yourself off and get right back up. That's exactly what Coach Graf and the Titans of St. Petersburg College baseball team on Wednesday night. The Titans (3-5) went into Seminole State College of Florida and returned the favor with a resounding 12-3 victory over the Raiders. The game was close up until the 3rd inning when the Titans kicked down the door with 6 runs scored and finished with 12 runs, 14 hits and 1 error. Meanwhile the Raiders (3-4) only mustered 6 hits on 3 runs with 4 costly errors. Both Right Fielder Freshman Austin Coultras and Third Baseman Sophomore Jaider Morelos combined for 12 at bats followed by Shortstop Freshman Jake Mammau with 5. Pitcher Channing Young was stellar on night for the Titans. The Junior through 7 innings only gave up 2 hits, 1 run but produced 12 shutouts. The Titans will return home tomorrow afternoon where they will take on Lake Sumter State College at Jack Russell Stadium in Clearwater. First pitch is set for 1pm and admission is free for all SPC students, faculty and staff. General admission is $5.
