Tayla Tran graduated from Osceola Fundamental High School with an impressive 4.62 GPA and was a four-year varsity volleyball player. In her senior year, she earned recognition, being named to the AVCA Best & Brightest First Team and the PCAC South County Second Team. Over the course of her high school career, Tayla accumulated 109 aces, 261 digs, 749 assists, and 33 kills.
In her final season at SPC she posted 25 aces, 185 digs, averaged 8.41 assists/set, totaled an impressive 664 assists, 5 double-doubles and finished the season ranked 1st in the conference in assists/set. Twice this season, her athleticism earned her the FCSAA DII setter of the week titles, and in post-season earning her a spot on the All Sun Lakes Conference 1st Team and the Division II All-FCSAA Team. She was a two-time team captain, selected by her coach for her strong leadership and work ethic. While leading both on and off the court, she maintained the highest team GPA at 3.80 and was hand selected as a panelist for the 100 Strong Colloquium to represent women in sport.
Tayla’s talent, academic excellence, and leadership were further honored with the Titan '25 Award and the Coaches ’24 Award. Although this athlete will not be continuing her career on the court, she will be starting her career on the sideline, returning to our program next fall as an assistant coach!
